Voices of Africa, Emerging Voices

Between Yesterday and Tomorrow: Perspectives from Black Contemporary Artists of San Antonio showcased the multifaceted talents of Black artists in the greater San Antonio community. Through this exhibition, these local artists shared their cultural and life experiences through their work. Themes covered included Black history and identity, family dynamics, social connections, personal human experience, spirituality and resilience. The artworks included drawing, painting, photography, mixed media, digital media, assemblage, sculpture and quilting.
