The Italian Alfredo Norfini arrives in Brazil already graduated in Fine Arts by the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Lucca, in Rome. He was a painter, draftsman and, in 1911, professor of the Lyceum of Arts and Crafts of São Paulo. He had his works published in the magazines Renascença and Antártica Ilustrada. "Volta da caça de catetos", from 1913, belonging to the collection of Pinacoteca, is a genre scene, style by which, next to the landscapes, the painter was noted.
