Monumental krater attributable to one of the most remarkable artistic personalities of early Apulian red-figure ceramics, known as the Painter of the Birth of Dionysus from the theme depicted in the main image: the birth of Dionysus from the thigh of Zeus. On the other side of the vessel is a battle between Amazons and Greeks. The figures are placed at different heights, a technique peculiar to this painter.
