Deinonychus Illustration

Deinonychus was a relatively small, but nonetheless, voracious meat-eater, about 7-feet long, which belonged to a group of theropod dinosaurs called maniraptors, which means “hand-robber." The sickle-shaped claws on its hind feet made it a formidable predator, and the second toe ended in an unusually deadly and enlarged claw.
