The "radhaube" consists of a head section and a very large wheel-like brim. Densely entwined gold ornamentation is incorporated across a round frame made of wire. As a result of its unique design, the wheel frame is also called a "Pfauenrädle," or "peacock wheel." Radhaube hats could mainly be found in Allgäu, Upper Swabia, Middle Swabia, Vorarlberg, and around Lake Constance.
