This silk handkerchief map was produced for use by servicemen, 1941-1944. One side shows shows the Mediterranean and the reverse shows North Africa, including Libya and Algeria. Libya is shown as an Italian territory. Maps of this sort were printed by John Waddington Ltd., Leeds, and sometimes smuggled to prisoners of war inside board games such as Monopoly.
