For transporting goods, there were also numerous types of wagons. This permitted distribution of a wide variety of goods, from raw materials for industry to agricultural products or for raising livestock. This is the case of this K12 wagon, which was built in 1889 at the Oficinas Gerais de Lisboa. Originally, it was a J-type wagon - a closed model with sliding side doors for transporting a range of goods. It has a metal frame box and wooden lining, with two floors with small sliding side doors for transporting pigs, goats and sheep. The cattle transport wagons were used almost exclusively in the south of the country, mainly in the Alentejo.
