This is a Jōmon Period (16,500-3,000 BCE) personal accessory made from deer antlers. Since this accessory was discovered near the waist bones of a male buried inside a tomb, it is assumed that this was a waist accessory. There are various shapes, but these waist accessories have a distinctive small and wide "v" shape with holes on both ends facing in different directions.
