This multi-stranded waist belt with space separated with coloured bead waistbands(red, white & blue) bought from a shop. The waist belt is made and worn by women and girls at dances. The spacers are made from cowhide and the thread used is twisted from muamba(baobab) fiber which is cut from the bark of baobab by young men. The belts were never sold in the market but traded for hens or uncooked food.
