Woman's habit waistcoat in cream linen embroidered with silver thread in stripes and flowers, and with a double row of covered buttons and wide curved lapels. The embroidered design consists of bands of double stripes, between which are stitched rows of alternating cruciform devices. The border is composed of an undulating leaf trail. The 4 buttons, which are self covered, have a similar pattern. There are two marked but uncut button-holes. The waistcoat is lined with white cotton, which also forms the back. At the centre, it is divided, with lacing together with white tape.
