沈石田，筆性渾樸，與倪雲林高逸雅澹之趣略有不同。相傳石田每效倪畫，其師輒以為過。董其昌題沈冊云：沈啟南畫以學元季四大家者為佳絕，就中學倪高士尤擅出藍之能。蓋以澹逸言，沈固不能肖倪，以渾樸言，則沈之所固有。故沈學倪畫，雅澹中別有一種蒼莽之氣。本幅滿紙荒寒，是倣倪畫之佳者。
