In "Wall Being a Door" from 2012, Ondak erases a significant part of the object and selects only a detail, in this case, a doorknob on the wall. He eliminates the entire context of the door, leaving us with a trace of a common object.
This artwork reflects the artist's interests: objects from our everyday lives, the representation of art, and the symbolic transport to another place beyond the exhibition space. The symbolic opening allows us to contemplate an exterior from the security of the museum. With this object, there is a duality in the room: an interior and an exterior unfolding, transporting us to different places.
