The Duchess of Windsor, Wallis Simpson, seated in her Paris home, that she shares with her husband, H.R.H. Edward, the Duke of Windsor. In the Paris park Bois de Boulogne, the nineteenth-century house is located at 4 Route du Champ d'Entrainement. Here, she is seated on a yellow silk armchair in the library. Next to her chair is one of a pair of marquetry tables, on which sits family photographs, including photos of Queen Victoria and Queen Mary. A vase of tall yellow flowers sits on a low table. The Duchess is wearing a deep gold-yellow evening gown with a boatneck neckline and A-line skirt. It is paired with a matching fur-trimmed stole, and sapphire and diamond jewelry (ring, necklace, earrings).
