Anne’s love for apple blossoms was apparent from her very first encounter on the “Avenue”, which she affectionately named the “White Way of Delight”. When arriving at Green Gables, her bedroom’s walls were whitewashed and bare, so she imagined them “hung with gold and silver brocade tapestry”. While that never materialized, she did end up with a “dainty apple-blossom paper”.
