Designed and built in 1936 by Walter Taylor, this bridge is in the inner west Brisbane suburb of Indooroopilly. Previously known as the Indooroopilly Bridge, it remains the longest suspension street in Australia, built using support cables which were initially used in construction of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It links traffic and pedestrians from Chelmer to Indooroopilly and is the only habitable bridge in the southern hemisphere.
