The Scottish War Emergency Cup or War Challenge Cup was played in 1940 as a replacement for the Scottish Cup, which was suspended during the Second World War. Rangers beat Dundee United 1–0 in the Final and the trophy was presented to Gers midfielder Adam Little, who was also a qualified doctor and served as a Captain in the Royal Army Medical Corps during wartime.
