Waste Collector

Alfredo António de Azevedo, born in 1876, started his artistic career late in life, and was a disciple of Joaquim Lopes. Was awarded with the First Medal in Pastel by the National Society of Arts. In this pastel named “Cata-Lixo” (waste collector) is shown in close-up a man of frown, with ragged clothes who carries on his shoulder a burlap sack.
