Water column

Water column attached to the tender of the YG 3438. It was meant for delivering large volumne of water into the tank or tender of the steam locomotive in the least possible time. Water columns were a vital part of the railway station equipment, in the older days. Water columns were designed up to ten cubic meters of water per minute.
