Water jar with ash glaze, Iga ware

The ashes sprinkled over this piece became vitrified after the surface of the vessel came into direct contact with the kiln fire. Green bidoro glaze accumulated around the neck section with furimono (debris) attached. This mizusashi represents the characteristics of wabi style Iga Ware.
