The pine tree and the crane, symbols of longevity, are colorfully brush painted in detail on the side. This water pot has roughly the same shape as that of blue-and-white water pots, as both types were made using the same shaping mold. There are also many other examples of white porcelains, and this particular example has the standard shape made by Eishin-sha.
