This water vessel was found in Bajo, South Sulawesi and displays a number of attributes, specific to the earthenware creations of the Takalar tribe. Amongst these are the absence of a spout, the short neck and its pumpkin shape. The decoration on the vessel's body was accomplished by a series of incisions, creating a flower and leaf motif. In Sulawesi, the Takalar tribe is well known for it's earthenware vessels which, apparently, have been traded all the way to Bajo.
