Robert Ingpen's original design of an image of Australian Rules footballer, Gary Ablett. The image is included in a tapestry celebrating 150 years of performances and events on the MCG. Ablett played 242 games for Geelong FC, where he a had a remarkable career between 1984 and 1996, kicking 1,021 goals. He produced some of his best games at the Melbourne Cricket Ground - he kicked 9 goals in a losing Grand Final team in 1989, and in 1993 he scored 14 goals 7 behinds in a home-and-away game against Essendon, the eventual Premiers. In the 1994 season he kicked 129 goals, and 122 goals in the following season.
