This is an image taken by Ebor Tariang who is part of Native Arts that host the Luminous Journey Photography Workshops called "Beyond the Spectacular". They are workshops with a purpose. This art collective supports and gives visibility to Khasi women's crafts such as weaving, which helps to legitimise their crafts as not only a skill, but an art. Ebor is led and inspired by his love of nature and man's relationship with her which, he believes, is all encompassing and prefers to call it: 'Mei-ri-sawkun', an indigenous Khasi concept which means 'mother earth which cradles its children and all else that exist around them’
