Waves

‘Wave’ by Tim A Shaw is comprised of long, thin rectangles painted directly onto the walls. Each shape is painted in a different, hand-mixed unique colour that creates subtle undulating and fluctuating tones. As a whole the vibrant, colourful artwork hints at the movement of a wave, but also has a participatory element. As mothers end their stay at Jasmine Lodge they will be invited to contribute to the artwork by leaving a handprint by their baby on one of the strips of colour. Mums and babies can choose a colour and leave a hand print as a farewell wave.
