At the center of this painting is an eleven-headed form of Avalokiteshvara that has ten arms, one of which is holding a diminutive image of Buddha Amitabha, the buddha heading the lotus family of which Avalokiteshvara is a part. At the top center is Buddha Akshobhya flanked by the Five Buddhas headed by Vairocana. Underneath Avalokiteshvara the first Buddhist king of Tibet, Srongtsen Gampo, is flanked by his two wives. These three are considered emanations of Avalokiteshvara and White and Green Tara, respectively. Further in the bottom register are Prajnaparamita, Avalokiteshvara, Hayagriva, and Tara.
