Wear-Test Underwear

This pair of underwear shows signs of wear such as fraying to the elastic waistband and a run down the left side. This culture of wear-testing synthetic fibers was an important part of DuPont’s research and development culture. Such studies continued throughout future decades, for example in 1970s control top panty hose.
