This chart shows the weather at 1300 on the 6 June 1944, but this time thousands of allied troops were fighting on the beaches of Normandy. The chart shows that the forecast on the 5th June was largely correct but that the area of high pressure on the bottom left of the chart had not advanced as far east as hoped resulting in windy conditions for the channel crossing.
