Weavers in Udem Villiage

Ebor Tariang often travels to Udem to visit the weaving initiatives set up by the Khasi women. More of these have sprung up around the Khasi hills as the women gain the skills needed. Women supporting women has built an eco system that is thriving. Using only natural materials weaving silk from a silk worm and colour from plants there is a respect and synchronicity with nature that is passed between women and generations, building vibrant sustainable communities.
