19th century

Cotroceni National Museum

Cotroceni National Museum
Bucharest, Romania

The two wedding crowns are made of two metal strips in the cap, fixed with a rivet, surmounted by a small cross that sits on a flower-shaped support. These strips rise from a wider one, located at the bottom, round, adjustable, decorated with perforated vegetal motif. At the bride's wedding crown, one of the cap strips has been designed only in half. On the underside the names of the donors and the date are engraved: ”Ana I. Constantinescu, 1899, April 23” and ”I. Constantinescu, 1899, April 23”.
