An Afghani wedding tent pitched in the drawing room of New York designer-decorator Angelo Donghia. The 20' x 20' x 10' nomad-style tent was made in Afghanistan by Ira Seret out of hand-appliqued multicolor cotton panels and borders laced or sewn together, then imported to the United States by Donghia's firm & Vice Versa. The floor is covered in carpets and pillows, potted plants fill the tent, and a red plastic table stands next to a low sofa bed.
