Wernyhora (Lyrist)

Wernyhora - Ukrainian bard, lyrist and poet, some say legendary, others - historical. He lived in the second half of the 18th century during the so-called Koliyivshchyna, the anti-noble uprising in Ukraine. Wernyhora's prophecies concerned the future of Poland and Ukraine. The visionary predicted the partitions of Poland, unsuccessful national liberation uprisings and the rebirth of Polish statehood.
