West Ham Stadium, Custom House, Newham, Greater London

West Ham Stadium was built in 1928 to take advantage of the popularity of speedway and greyhound racing. A short-lived football club, Thames Association, played there for only two seasons. The last meet was held at the stadium in 1972, after which it was sold for housing.
