Known today as the Chicago Cubs, the Chicago White Stockings, later known as the Colts, played baseball on the city's Near West Side from 1894 until they moved to what is now Wrigley field in 1915. The Cubs claimed their only two World Series victories, 1907 and 1908, while residents of West Side Grounds.
