The Painted Desert Inn, located in Petrified Forest National Park, was built in the 1920s and restored by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. Once a stop for Route 66 travelers, it now serves as a museum, showcasing Southwestern art, adobe architecture, and cultural history.
