Biography:
Meredith O'Shea is an example of a photographer who works at the most intimate level. Her matter of fact manner allows her to reach the often elusive, yet crucial human dimensions of these stories of Australian society. Immersing herself in the lives of ordinary Australians, she has captured hauntingly beautiful photographs of her subjects at their most vulnerable. Her work as a photojournalist has brought heartbreaking and inspiring stories of human struggle and triumph to the front pages of The Sunday Age for over 15 years. She also works regularly with other media outlets such as The Guardian Australia. Her work has been exhibited internationally to great acclaim. She is a multi-award-winning photographer and filmmaker.
