Bust portrait of Louis Lebeque Duportail (1743-1802), in military uniform, facing three-quarters left. Powdered hair or wig, with puff over ear, tied at nape of neck with black ribbon. Brown eyes, white stock and jabot. Buff waistcoat and facings on dark blue coat with brass buttons and gold epaulettes with 2 silver stars. Silver & gold medal in form of ribbon, looped through buttonhole on facings at viewer's right. Dark brown background.
