This publicity poster was published by the Underground in 1924. The painting, by Verney L Danvers, depicts a City street scene at night. As hazy dark figures make their way through the thick winter's fog, the only prevailing light comes from the bright red Underground symbol. The familiar sign shines through the mist, inviting Passengers in 'where it is warm and bright'.
