This is a miniature glass bottle, amber coloured, and is only 2 cm long. It is called a frigger or whimsey. Friggers are small glass objects made by glassworkers, often with the glass left over at the end of the day. The bottle was found in Vaughan, from an excavation done in 2000 by Archaeological Services Inc. (ASI). Around 5000 artifacts were recovered from this 19th century domestic occupation. The item is shaped as a liquor bottle and has been interpreted as a toy or a souvenir.
