Yangzhou Museum

Yangzhou Museum
Yangzhou, China

Unearthed in Hongxing village, Chengbei town, Yangzhou city in 1974, this pot has an opening rim that expands outwards, a narrow neck, a convex belly which tapers in the lower section and a flat bottom. It is equipped with a flat lid on which lies a flat, circular knob. The smooth white pottery body is coated with white glaze, which looks a tingle of pale yellow, coupled with blue-glaze raindrop-shaped dots, which makes this piece distinctively eye-catching.
