"In this work we can appreciate the exquisite technique and chromatic quality of Ramon Casas (Barcelona, 1866- 1932) in his search of the integration of the figure in its background, in this case a blue courtyard in Sitges. Here it was obtained through the observation of the effects of the sunlight rays bouncing off the body and clothing.

For Ramon Casas the world was a chromatic impression, and this conception allowed him to create hues of extraordinary richness with which he presents attractive results. The quality of the different shades of pink in the woman face and the white colour of the dress supposed him to be considered as an impressionist."
