Funerary altar of young freedwoman Giulia Grafide

White marble funerary altar of young freedwoman Iulia Grafis dedicated to her by the imperial judge (seviro) Quintus Iulius Alexander and Vaccia Iustina.
On the top of the monument two pinecones with a rose in the middle are sculpted, maybe a symbol of life cut down in the flower of its youth.
The inscription reads: “D(is) M(anibus) / Iuliae Gra/phidis vixit / ann(os) XV / m(enses) II d(ies) XI / Q(uintus) Iulius Alexan/der VIvir Aug(ustalis) / mag(ister) Aug(ustalis) bis et / Vaccia Iustina / alumnae / karissimae” (“To the spirits of the dead of Iulia Grafis. She lived fifteen years, two months and eleven days. Quintus Iulius Alexander, sevir Augustalis, magister Augustalis for the second time and Vaccia Giustina, dedicate (this monument) to their dearest pupil”).
