White wall stained by black rain

The roof of a house about 3,700 meters from the hyposenter was dislodged by the blast, allowing in drops of black rain that dripped down and left traces on this white plaster wall. Analysis of this rain revealed that it contained radioactive fallout from the atomic bomb explosion.
