This is a tool used to neatly arrange hair. It is used on a person’s hair to apply oil or remove dirt and dandruff. It is also used to decorate hair by sweeping it to the back of the head. Elaborately adorned with red paintings, bullhorn decorations, and carvings, this tool was cherished by women. Combs were kept in a mirror stand, or separately in a comb box. Tiny combs were carried by women when they went out. Combs generally assume a half-moon or rectangular shape. They have diverse types, usage, sizes, and shapes. Eolrebit, also called wolso, is a wide-tooth comb, and used to roughly arrange tangled hair. Its teeth are set at wide intervals on one side of the ridge. The comb is made by trimming a piece of wood.
