William Baxter

Botanist William Baxtor (born in Rugby, England in 1787) was appointed Curator of the Oxford Physic Garden in 1813. Together with Charles Daubeny, the fifth Sherardian Professor of Botany at Oxford University, he transformed the appearance of the Garden in the early nineteenth century.
