Multiple fragments of painted window glass. There is doucmentary evidence for the use of heraldic glass at Portchester. It is known that glazing work was carried out in the castle in the period of June 1398 to August 1399. 216ft of glass decorated with shields, badges and borders was bought at a cost of 1s 2d for the windows in the hall, chamber and lower chamber. It is likely this glass came from these rooms.
