WINDOWISWORLD was produced during the 2020 period of quarantine, when many countries around the world went into lockdown to tackle the spread of Covid-19. It’s a personal response to crisis, uncertainty, and altered states of being.
"In this historical moment that frame is our window; a point of passage between inside and outside, between what we see, but that is not possible to touch.
A simple window, think about it?
A continuous metaphor with a particular attention to all those forms of representation in which the window is a real element that separates, but in the same way it is an opportunity to break down those barriers between inside and outside.
And so let us break down these barriers, we who are both users of a painting that we cannot live, and protagonists trapped in a painting that cannot escape.
How?
A shot, a glimpse of your world, a glimpse of my world;
your reality will become mine and so we will not be so far away:
and then we won’t be so alone." Valentina Crispino
