Wine Bottle Seal

Several personalized bottle seals were found at the site where Benjamin Cathrall, a Quaker schoolteacher, lived. This seal, originally owned by Cathrall’s parents, reveals their privileged status, since only the wealthy could afford to order bottles embossed with the family name and date.
