Winners of the 3rd National Chopin Piano Competition in 1984

A total of over $25,000 in prize money was awarded to the winners and candidates of the 1984 US Competition. The co-winners Arthur Hart and Jonathan Bass also received fully paid trips to Poland for the XI International Chopin Competition. Mrs. Rosenstiel, pictured here with the two winners remained steadfast in her commitment to supporting young American pianists and began establishing regional Chopin Councils in Florida, New York, Washington, D.C. and San Francisco.
