This is a device that is designed to create wind by spinning a wheel with multiple blades installed in a cylindrical container. At the top of the device, a separate inlet is installed to pour crops into it. By spinning the wheel while crops are poured in, hulls and crumbs are blown away by the wind, and grains would fall out. It is used to filter grains including rice, barley, beans and adzuki beans from chaff, dirt and other lighter particles using wind. It usually takes three minutes to winnow one sack of rice.
