Wojciech Bogusławski, portrait.Wojciech Bogusławski (1757–1829) – actor, singer, playwright, translator, organizer – a versatile and resourceful man of theatre. He performed in the National Theatre since 1778 and in 1783 became its head for the first time; he will continue to manage this institution on and off until 1814. Although he began to work for the National Theatre several years after its foundation, he is in fact regarded as its father.
